1 One of David’s levitical musicians (1Chr 15:18; 1Chr 15:20). 2 A commander who joined Jehoida’s Temple conspiracy to make Joash king (2Chr 23:1). 3 An officer under King Uzziah (2Chr 26:11). 4 King Ahaz’s son who was killed in the war with Israel (2Chr 28:7). 5 The governor of Jerusalem commissioned by Josiah to repair the Temple (2Chr 28:7). 6 The father of the priest Zephaniah (Jer 21:1; Jer 29:25; Jer 37:3); he may be the same as 5. 7 The father of the false prophet Zedekiah (Jer 29:21); he may be the same as 5. 8 The son of Shallum and keeper of the threshold (Jer 35:4). 9 Four Israelites, three of whom were priests, who agreed to divorce their foreign wives (Ezra 10:18; Ezra 10:21; Ezra 10:22; Ezra 10:30).
